I’m going through my photos from Copenhagen… lots of pictures to come!
I know there must be lots of good bicycle stories out there. If you’ve got a special, crazy, different, especially nice, funny or even sad bike memory, please share it with me by e-mailing elin@putthefunbetweenyourlegs.net. Write on, in Swedish or English, and name is optional so it can be completely anonymous! To know your age and country could be sweet though...

My friend Toomas and I once had a long chat about cycling and the feeling of freedom that comes with it. I remember I said “Cycling is the closest humans get to flying”. There sure is something very constructive in pedaling ourselves forward with our own force.
The next day he sent me this photo.
yihaa, here’s a film i put together last nite showing me and my man’s little autumn ride the past weekend. i don’t go out riding for the sake of riding that often but now we hit the woods. he’s on the bike i got when i was 11. it’s still going strong, has 5 gears and is oh so useful (bicycles with handlebars like this never get stolen in sweden, as thieves seem to have passion for vintage bikes or new cool ones). so, speaking in terms of “which bicycle should one have?”… in the end this 90’s handlebar-fat-tires-bicycle is one of the best bikes i ever had.
p.s if anyone knows which format to use for better quality let me know! youtube won’t let me upload DV (this is AVI).

it’s getting darker, not least in swedenland. and we know it far too well. so for all those in stockholm who doesn’t have their bike lights sorted yet, there is an excellent opportunity to get a pair of FREE lights tomorrow, Thursday 28, 07:00-09:00 at the following spots in Stockholm:
(yes, there is some swedish in the following text)
and if you need lights, but doesn’t live in stockholm or can’t pop by, i would recommend these anytime, anyday:

so easy to attach and detach - and tiny lil’ bastards too!
Nothing makes me more excited than seeing posts in social media of people i know doing it at their best:

JESS, SYDNEY (photo cred: dimsey) girlfriend of my boyfriends best friend jarrod. we are so glad that they’ve met cos she is even cooler than him!

FILIPPA, ITALY: (photo cred: ??) filippa is a friend and a stylist with the heart in the right spot. great to work with! this moment was captured during her italian summer escapades (god, where did you get that bike from??)

SALLY, BERLIN: sally is probably the coolest chick in prenzlauerberg. she took us for the ride of our life.

one of my favourite things to do in a city is to sit at a café and just watch people passing by.
and well yes, often a happy dog or two sneaks into the picture when i’m spotting bicycles. i seem to have a weakness for both… these snaps are from BERLIN, accompanied by my friend ellie. it was a very hot day and we were waiting for our laundry to get done in the laundromat. oh happy day!
