Up north where Sweden ends and Norway begins, there is still some snow framing the midsummer decorations at the partly frozen lake. We stopped at Riksgränsen to buy some coffee.
The place was very sleepy, but we found lots of bikes outside… And not just any bikes.

But mostly there were mainstream bikes…
Apparently we had just ran into an organized tour that would go from the north to the south of our long country. What a great idea. I should have tapped on the guide’s shoulder and said hey that will be easy-peasy, I mean they didn’t even have to carry their luggage! But I didn’t. However I do hope that the light weight bikes doesn’t make them race too fast, after all, it’s the journey that matters. I mean If you cycle really fast how much do you really get to experience of the beautiful surroundings? Oh I guess I just don’t have any of that tour de france blood in me…
